Namgoong Whan

Namgoong Whan (b. 1975) is an artist born in Seoul, living in Paris and Voulx. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Seoul National University in 2003 and continued his studies at Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris where he received the Diplôme national supérieur d’arts plastiques. He received the Special Prize at the DANWON Art Festival in Korea in 2004 and the third prize at the Prix de Dessin “Pierre David-Weil” in Paris in 2002. Some of his notable solo exhibitions include <ENTOPTIMA - Parabole> “Mutatio” in FIAC, Curated by Franck MARLOT Garage Amelot (2019), ENTOPTIMA at Artloft-Lee Bauwens Gallery. Brussels in 2018, ENTOPTIC at the Korean Cultural Center in Brussels, Belgium in 2015.
